The only way is up.

A couple of days ago on my personal blog, I received a well-meaning comment from Ms. Melissa regarding the appearance of KimKomm.com. As a professional who sources for speakers from the world wide web, Ms. Melissa had this to say about KimKomm.com, it didn’t look “professional” enough and that Kim Kommunications may or could have lost potential businesses due to the presentation of this website.

I whole heartedly agree with Ms. Melissa. As a matter of fact, I had been concerned with the overall look and feel of this website but had been unable to do much about it. Yes, the unfortunate “time contraints”….cliched but true.

So, I have had the site revamped again. Hopefully for the final time, fingers crossed. The changes are:

I would love to hear from you on how I could improve this place further. Please feel free to drop more comments.

Your opinions are warmly welcomed!

I like the new logo and cleaner interface. However, it does look and feel more like a blog than a company website.

I think it’s the arrangement and use of space. Also the look of the logo…it’s borderline plain to not so corporate.

Your frontpage is erm…compact..too many words. Maybe what you can do is have a very very short introduction and the rest are put into tabs of categories.

The bottom part where all the blogrolls thingy, thats very bloggish.

Other than that, the color coordination and the general font used is alright.

Something like Leo Burnett’s site would be good in terms of separating the pages.

Hope it helps coz currently, I dun get the serious PR company vibe yet. I think it’s easier for us to comment. Haha. Hope the site and ur company will improve to its best! Muahs

Forget the corporate look - I like the grassroots style

I was referred from Timothy’s blog. I believe this is the latest so called web 2.0 design. Sorry to say that, as a webmaster, this layout doesnt seem fine. You might be good in real world PR but not internet marketing. I would just close this window if you doesnt have a strong portfolio. Good luck and great job in the press release of nuffnang’s pyjamas party.

Darren, Kim Komm was formed with me who had a minor role in it. I thought we shared some PR passion, so I rode on Kimberly’s idea, since we were both Kims. Kim Komm was truly the brain of Kimberly.

Babe, your website is looking good. This is unique and corporate yet not too corporate bearing in mind that this sets you apart from the many corporate PR companies out there. Clients would want to hire you for your versatility and this is where the “bloggish” effect comes to play, without looking too serious. Good luck babe! XOXO
